Brony Advice is both an active collaboration with artists and an advice column, in the simplest of terms: I want you to send me notes if you have any problems, secrets or comments on the pony fandom of any nature. It doesn't matter how embarrassing, offensive or vicious they might be - if you want someone to comment on them in a rational way, send them over. Maybe there's something within the fandom that you particularly despise, or perhaps you're feeling sad and need to hear some friendly advice? Whatever the motive, send me a note with your comment or question.
I'll then respond with advice and commentary and post the answers up in future installments. Users will remain anonymous, so you don't need to worry about your feelings and thoughts getting out onto DeviantArt. You may find that some of the things that you've personally been feeling will be addressed.
Feel free to note me if you would like your questions and observations to be answered in an upcoming edition. Every edition will be engaging with three issues. The above three featured today were submitted by anonymous deviants.
I never really LOVEd Twiglight Sparkle, its kind of funny because Purple and pink one of my fav combos. But the character just never really won me over. I liked Luna best, and Rarity, and Flutter Shy.
I think one of the reasons I dislike Twilight is that she's so worshipful of Celestia....I realize she's a princess and Twi looks up to her, but she seems to forget that the princess is also a pony who has feelings and isn't a goddess. She's a real feeling creature and has a sense of humor. I think its so odd that they ever chose to make twi a princess. I more or less thought she'd be one of those really powerful unicorns, that was that. Then that horrible ep came on, so many songs in so little time, and it hardly made sense. It was the most rushed ep I ever saw!
Now we have the stupid Equestira Girls, the only reason I say stupid is because its based around some stupid PROM based idea. Like that hasn't been done a GAZILLION TIMES! Bratz does it too often and too many others, no one really cares about Prom Queen, its a stupid obsession! Anyways I don't know enough about the girls thing to say more, it just seems lame.
But my point is that Twi should have remained a unicorn and powerful, and in the ned I realized the girls were proud of her but they started acting like Twi towards Celestia, because she is now a royal. I dunno it just fel that way. Maybe it won't be so bad, but I dread season 4, I didn't love Season 3......(shrugs)
I love Rarity but I thought I was more of a flutter shy because I"m so nice about stuff. BUT my nieces and nephews all pointed out VERY quickly Rarity and won't let me budge them. The more I watched her the more I realized they were dead on. We're both passionate about what we love. I don't care about 'fashion' in the same sense as she does but I do love art as passionately. I I am also very lady like in my mannerisms I can't help it it just happens. That doesn't mean I don't have fun though.
Biggest of all we have the same kindness streak....that generaosity situation. I would rather see others get than myself.
I am very sorry for the person who wrote the question number 126. As for a fandom we theoretically get our base on love and tollerance, we're fucking intollerant. I pressume it's something wrong with those who make those "homophobic attacks from hundreds of bronies and even some death threats for turning their favorite ponies <into fags.>" As You said above, i believe there are few levels of, let's say, bronyism? Some tend to not give a buck to the message from the show (friendship is magic) or the base itself (love and tolerate). But i know numerous bronies who do so, or at least try to, me for example. Unfortunately for this case, being a brony is self-called. "People make the false assumption that bronies are all inherently kind and accepting people." - There, i pressume, You talk about bronies ourselves(myself)? Because from what i know, people in real haven't fully made their opinion on the fandom, but in the net the stereotypes are quite incredibly awful. It's the implication of the fact that a people gaining anonimity lose moral breaks.
I think i'm gonna watch You, these advices are surerly logical and reasonable.
