To be honest, I don't really care much for this episode. While it has a sweet nature to it, it's kinda... meh. It's weird that it's coming out during the week that Halloween is supposed to be on, as well. That's strange, since Christmas isn't until another two months. But, the episode wasn't even close to bad! Not at all!

However, it just felt sorta boring to me. While it was sad to see both Applejack and Pinkie Pie crying numerous times, especially when Applejack and her family got kicked out and Pinkie Pie didn't want them to leave, I still don't care much for this episode. The moments that stood out to me, though, were basically the main goals that this episode had: showing the Pie's traditions, the interaction between the families, and the short and abrupt train-ride. That's about it, though. There were a couple funny moments here and there, but nothing that really stood out to me. I did enjoy seeing the Pie family again, and I enjoyed watching the families interact and to see them learn about their traditions and each other. It was nice to have a bit of backstory behind that.

The only thing that I didn't like, however, were how Limestone and Marble (or Inkie and Blinkie) were made to act. It didn't suit them at all. Like, at all. Marble is just another Fluttershy, except even worse with the shyness. She doesn't even talk. She's cute, but she's really boring to me. Limestone is just another Rainbow Dash, except more of a bitch. Sorry, way more of a bitch. She was okay at the end, though. Well, I guess that's just me. But, it was nice to see them all grown-up. I really like their designs.

Also, I think I'm the only person who can say that I don't believe that this episode was hinting at any shipping between Marble and Big Mac. It's not because I'm a CherriMac fan (though I do really like the ship), I just don't think the show would go that far. I think they were just blushing because it was awkward for them and they've never met each other before. Of course you'd feel awkward and maybe even blush around someone you've never met before, especially if they're basically your family, too. I know I do! I ALWAYS feel awkward around people I've never met before, and family that I barely talk to or never even talked to, before. It's a natural reaction, and that's probably how Marble and Big Mac felt. Doesn't help that Marble is shy, and that Big Mac isn't really much of a talker. The show would NEVER say that incest is okay. Ever. It's a show for YOUNG GIRLS. Even if people argue that they're "distant cousins" (which isn't proven, so you can't say that they're distant cousins or blood-related cousins), the show still would not go that far. The writers know better than that.

That's really all I have to say for this episode. I would probably rate this episode with a "B+". "B-" is a pretty good score, too. I don't think this episode deserves an "A" in any sense (although the characterization, interactions, and traditions were really great to watch and learn about), but it definitely doesn't deserve anything lower than a "C". This episode is rated with a "B+" because it was pretty boring, and I don't like the way the other two sisters were created to act, but it had good moments and, like I said about a thousand times, I liked the themes that they showed in the episode.
