!!DeviantArt announces it is REMOVING all AI art!!
DeviantArt is REMOVING all AI artwork and is 'going back to its roots', according to its Chief AI Officer. In a statement issued today (1 April 2024), DeviantArt's Chief AI Officer Cuddlepug said: "We have listened to feedback from our sixty-or-so still-active users and the message is loud and clear: you want us to remove AI artwork from the website. We are going back to our roots, empowering artists to develop their skills and learn from one another. No machine learning or algorithms in sight. Doesn't that sound peachy? "To be honest, we only introduced AI on the platform as an April Fools joke back in 2022, then we kind of forgot how to remove the functionality so just went with it. But a smart coder has worked this out for us, so we will now be removing ALL AI art." The changes will come into effect from tomorrow (2 April 2024). All AI artwork on the website that has been uploaded will be removed. Tools such as DreamUp AI Art will also be discontinued. Cuddlepug added:
Giving away CORE MEMBERSHIP for FREE!! Holy shit!!
Drop a comment below if you'd like free Core membership. If I've gifted you it before, sadly DA won't let me again. However, if you've never had Core from me, I can give you it with fragments. There will be no questions. Are there any questions?
Say 'aye' if you're still using this website!
Say 'aye' if you're still using this website! Don't be shy, I won't judge you.
Hey DA, STOP asking me to 'greet' SHIT AI accounts
Is anyone else getting this automated bullshit? 'Hi Cuddlepug, reach out to this latest AI clown creating bullshit non-art'. What kind of 'feedback' do you want me to give them? 'Amazing, you clicked a few buttons and entered some prompts! Aren't you talented?' These people are complicit in turning this website into a fucking graveyard of low-effort bile. Any words I have for them begin with 'fuck' and end with 'off'.

I guess there's only one proper answer to this: don't give up your day job.
